GT Box Hollowers

These are my GT Box Hollowers
The middle chisel is the Standard (GT No 1). This has a 14 inch handle and a 6 inch 10mm Square bar. The bottom chisel is the Short Handle (GT No 1). This has a 9 inch handle and a 6 inch 10mm Square bar. These are my Box Hollowers. All 3 chisels come fitted with a 9mm Round standard cutter. As with all my tools, the bars have been shaped and the cutters have been fitted to allow the bevel to be used. This is what controls the cut. The size of the cutter matched to the way they've been fitted, makes these tools absolutely fantastic in use. The Large (GT No 2) chisel has the 12mm bar to allow for when a further overhanging of the tool rest is required when deeper hollowing. The Standard (GT No 1) chisel has got to be one of the best carbide tools you can purchase. As I have demonstrated on my YouTube channel, this tool can do everything. I have demonstrated turning a complete bowl, from start to finish, with just this one bowl, even to put the tenon/recess on. I have turned the smallest of pieces to the largest of pieces, all with cuts and finishes to equal any traditional tool. I have shown many things that this tool can do that traditional tools can't do. The Short Handled version works exactly the same.
